Digital Academy

Our Mission

The Digital Academy is an interactive learning community for students with learning differences.

The Digital Academy is dedicated to providing children and their families with the array of critically important, yet too frequently neglected, social, emotional and educational skills they need in order to lead healthier, and more resilient lives.

We provide customized tools for parents and children to strengthen family connections through “purposeful” mental health and wellness computer games. These exciting and engaging games ease the minds of parents while providing opportunities for children to have fun alone or with parents while engaging in positive, supportive, mental health and wellness computer game activities.

Prove your mental health, wellness and family relationships by:

  • Purposeful computer games can provide real world results.
  • Improve your mental health, wellness and family relationships.
  • Customized, easy, web-based games.

Our World

In today’s world, technology isn’t just a way for kids to keep in touch with each other. It is as much of their lives as breathing and eating. Between smart phones and current electronics, being “wired” is a way of life for them, and it is not going away..

The average teen sends more than 50 texts a day; younger children spend over 10 hours a week playing video games; and the amount of time all kids spend online daily has tripled in the past 10 years.

It is becoming more evident, over time, that the use of technology is changing the nature of children’s relationships with peers, with their families and with the world around them.

Technology is changing so fast that it can be difficult for parents to keep up. The idea that parents need to get involved in their children’s digital lives as actively as they do in academics or sports activities is still new…and needed.

The Digital Academy highly encourages SaneGames’ commitment to the uniquely important goal of positive mental health and wellness computer games and strengthening families, was inspired, in part, by its recognition that our world is rapidly becoming more complex and demanding, but our children and families are being asked to cope successfully and, in fact, flourish using skills that were designed for far less stressful times.
